[Resolved] Programming issue with Hot Key

Post by Vellemum » Sun Aug 28, 2016 9:30 pm

Hi all,
Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong direction but I can't figure out how to program a special Hot Key.
What I want with this Hot Key is stop the current playing cue en start the selected cue in the cuelist.
For stopping I can use an SFR-cue which stops all playing cues but how do I program the start of the selected cue? Because each time the selected cue can be different.

I wil explain why I want to use this Hot Key.
I have a cue-list with 30 to 40 video-cues. During rehearsel I want the director to start/stop/resume the cues. He will jump from one cue to another each time in a different order. I thought the easiest way to do this is to make a cue-list with all cues looping and no SFR cues or other cues in between. Starting, stopping and pausing can easily be done by shortcuts.
When a cue is playing in the meantime the director can go to another cue bij using the arrow buttons and when he is on the right cue I want this Hot Key to stop the current playing cue and start the selected one.

I know I can program each cue to first stop the running cue and then play the selected one, but then I have to program this for all cues.
Or am I missing something?

Perhaps it's not possible and then I want to make a feature request of 'starting the selected cue'.

If someone knows a solution/workaround, all suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

I've just run a test using a cue list with multiple audio files, and I added an SFR hotkey cue to 'stop all play cues' but I also set the checkbox 'Go' Next Manual Cue. That does what you need. I can play any cue, and while it is playing I'll click on another cue in the cue list and then press the hotkey. The currently playing cue stops and the selected cue then starts because it is now the 'next manual cue'.

Thanks Mike!
I knew it must be possible with this great program. I will use this solution a lot.

Mike, is there an option for Fade All Playing Cues as well for the Hot Keys? That would be ideal for some of my situations.
