If you want to run SCS 11 under Windows 8 then you should find everything runs fine except possibly video cues. With video cues you may find no image is displayed although the video's audio can be heard.
If you are using or plan to use video files in video/image cues then I recommend you use a Windows 7 machine until the Windows 8 issue is resolved.

Re: Windows 8
Hi Mike
Just to let you know I am running SCS under on brand new machine with Windows 8 and everything is working fine and video has not played up at all and infact I have not even had to make any option changes it worked first time, just waiting now for the fade in/out to be sorted which I hope you are still working on.

Re: Windows 8
The only issue I've had is when upgrading a Windows 7 machine to Windows 8 then videos did not display on the second screen. However, on researching the cause of this it seems it is probably due to the BIOS requiring an update. No such problems have been reported by users purchasing new Windows 8 computers.
Also, this same upgraded machine plays videos perfectly using a pre-release of SCS 11.2.1, and this should be available on general release within about a week. So 11.2.1 fully supports Windows 8.

Re: Windows 8
Thanks. It sounds like maybe its the UEFI replacement for BIOS. I guess I'll wait on the Windows 8 machine until I can get a new motherboard that supports UEFI. Even though I continue to run on XP for now, I Still love the program!
