Problem with adding devices - SCS 10 and 11

Post by Dannyboy » Wed Oct 17, 2012 5:18 pm

Hi All

I wondered if anyone could help. Having a problem that I havent had before.

Just brought a new laptop and setting up for a new show. Decided to give SCS 11 a go for the first time. My theatre uses 4 Stereo outputs so decided to set up the devices in advance on the laptop. After finding my way around the changes in SCS11, I managed to set up 4 Devices FOH, Side Mix, Upsatge and Foyer - all assigned to the laptops Realtek Hign Def audio card. All get a test tone Level. When adding a cue I found that the audio will only play through the FOH device, not the others.

As I have little time, I decided to go back to SCS 10, as I know the workings. Now when I add Multiple devices I get an error message saying "Too many devices requested. The Limit for your license is 1 but adding 1 devices to the existing 1 would make the total number to 2." I have a Professional Corporate licence and never come across this before.

Not sure if I'm having two problems here? Can anyone help?

Thanks

With SCS 10, check the registration details. What licence type is displayed under Help / About? If it is not Professional Plus, try re-entering your registration details under Help / Registration.

Thanks for the reply Mike.

The Licence type displayed is SCS Professional Corporate.

I re-entered my details and it made no difference, but then tried typing it rather than copying and pasting and that seemed to fix the problem. This also fixed the SCS 11 issue also.

Many thanks for your help. Seems like taking shortcuts doesnt always save you time....

Thanks

Danny
