Standard or Pro with Mbox 3 Pro for 5.1 mix?

Post by marcusss » Mon Oct 15, 2012 5:45 am

I want to mix some sound in surround 5.1, I´m useing a Mbox 3 Pro with 6 outputs.
Do I need to upgrade to PRO user to do that and how do I set the outputs in the production properties?

If you are using 5.1 audio files then they can be played to a single 5.1 output device, using SCS Standard.

Regarding how to set the outputs, which version of SCS are you using?

I´m using SCS Standard, what I can see I only have 2 outputs from my Mbox 3 in SCS and my 5.1 mix is not an 5.1 audio file becuse I can´t downmix in surround in Pro Tools 9. So I have to bounce every output to 6 mono files.

But if I go Pro I shuld get 6 outputs from my Mbox right?
