Where is the device map info stored in SCS11?
I can't find it in the cue files, nor the normal device maps directory.
It has to be somewhere.

Indeed it does. According to the SCS11 Help file, the folder SCS DevMaps is located in "Documents" or "My Documents", which is indeed where I have found mine.

Device maps in SCS 11 are stored in an SCS folder under your application-specific data folder (referred to as CSIDL_APPDATA). On my Windows 7 development machine the device maps folder is "C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\ShowCueSystem\DevMaps\".

Hmm. Help file info must be out-of-date. Are those device map files current, Malcolm, or were they from an older, beta, version of SCS 11?jmgordon wrote:Indeed it does. Re: SCS11 and device maps
Thanks Mike, I vaguely remember reading that somewhere. You might want to add that to the Help file in the device maps section.
I had some trouble loading an old SCS10 file that I converted during the SCS11 beta, it was crashing during the devmap load, and I
wanted to delete the file or reset it to just the demo file which loaded ok. I ended up creating a new production with new devmaps
and things worked fine then. I just was wondering where the devmap files were.
I also am not clear when the devmap file is written, as there are multiple SAVE buttons.

The one dev map in that folder dates from January 2012. I have looked in the App Data on my XP systemMike Daniell wrote: Hmm. Help file info must be out-of-date. Are those device map files current, Malcolm, or were they from an older, beta, version of SCS 11?
"C:\Documents and Settings\J Malcolm Gordon\Application Data\ShowCueSystem\DevMaps\" and found the later shows that I have test run this summer.

Re: SCS11 and device maps
Help file now corrected for the next release.
The device map file is saved whenever the associated cue file is saved. An initial device map file is also created when a cue file is opened, if no device map file currently exists for that cue file.
