For a local theatre production i bought SCS. I run it on a win7 32bit laptop but I'm not able to set up my Maya44USB sound card.
I can't get the ASIO panel activated in SCS currently I'm not able to use the 4 outputs of the card. I already downloaded the latest ASIO drivers for the soundcard and yesterday I installed SCS10.9.1, so everything should be up to date.
On the sound settings panel in SCS, the "ASIO control panel" button remains grey. I suppose it must be SCS related, because the card works fine with ASIO in Traktor and DjDecks on the same system.
On the board I read boswell succeeded to use the MAYA44USB with ASIO, so I was hoping someone could help me out.
Unable to set up sound card
Re: Unable to set up sound card
Unfortunately Jurgen, that was on an XP setup, I don't have the MAYA to hand (it's in the theatre) to test on a Win7 setup, I'll try and get hold of it today and give it a go.
regards

Re: Unable to set up sound card
Are you using the internal mixer? It's needed for ASIO sound cards

Re: Unable to set up sound card
Thanks for trying to help me out guys.
When I switch on the internal mixer, I get nothing but errors when loading my cue list, like:
Error 11 Division by zero
SCS 10.9.1
ProcName = loadArrayPhysicalDevs
Cuefile =
or
Erro Unknown BASS audio library erro
SCS 10.9.1
ProcName = CreateOneMixerStream
BASS_Mixer_StreamCreate failed for VOOR
Error: Unknown BASS audio library error
CueFile = C:\Users\Dj\Documents\Gevangene Ontsnapt.scsq
Continue with the program?
and so on...
I was reading through the SCS website and I came across the pages of the SoundMan Server. I didn't purchase this. Could that be the problem?
I'm not a native English speaker, so I don't quite understand what the SoundMan Server does.
Yes, I switched it on again, but the main problem I suppose is that SCS doesn't "see" the ASIO driver.Richard wrote:Are you using the internal mixer? It's needed for ASIO sound cards

Re: Unable to set up sound card
Finally I got the Maya44 working in SCS with an older ASIO driver, but that resulted in crackles and pops. Switching off the internal mixer wasn't an option, because it is an ASIO device which needs the internal mixer.
I then tried another sound device; the Terratec Phase 26 USB. Guess what? Installation was flawless, it was immediately recognized by SCS and fades are smooth, without any hickups.
I'm up and running now!
PS: The Terratec Phase 26 USB can be added to the list of compatible sound devices.
