using a stereo channel for 2 separate mono outputs

Hi,

The PC at our theatre has 6 channels which I want to use for 2 stero outputs and 2 mono outputs i.e. 2+2+1+1

There is a "feature" in the software which seems to play each of the mono outputs on both channels.

Is what I'm doing silly or is there something in the software that I should be activating to help?

Check your speaker output assignments. If you have a speaker assignment output set for a pair of speakers then the cues will play through both speakers unless you pan the cue to one or the other speaker. Some sound card drivers will only let you use speaker outputs in pairs so you must pan the cues in order to make them come out of only one speaker.
