Play all cues

Post by Peter Jackson » Wed Feb 25, 2009 12:22 am

Hi Mike
I've only been using SCS since December 08 and I must say this is the best software I have found for running many varities of shows from Dance to Opera and two acters etc.
My question is this:

Does SCS allow you to play all cues in sequence one after another so that you can go into auditorium to listen to all cues with out having to run back and forth to the control room each time to start them?
So enabling me to check levels and make notes on each as they play through the PA.

Thanks

The only way I can think of at the moment is to save your SCS file then go through and edit each cue to be auto start 0 secs after end of the previous cue.
You can put a delay in the 'Sub Cue Relative Start time' box for the first cue to give you time to get to the auditorium!
Then do a 'Save As' with a different name. then you can run it or the unmodified version as you wish.
There is no global command to run all cues sequentially as far as I know
HTH

Or use a wireless mouse/presenter to control the computer from the auditorium if the signal is strong enough and the path isn't too long.

Hi Again Boswell / Malcolm

Just to let you know remote mouse is A1, just place the mouse over the go button and GO! so simple when you think about it.
I was even able to go right down onto stage to check back stage monitors as well.

Many thanks to you both for your responses.

The remote mouse certainly is a good solution, and you can take advantage of both the left and right mouse buttons provided you haven't disabled right-click activating the 'Go' button (see Permanent Options / Key Mapping). Place the mouse over the Stop All button and then you can use left-click to activate the Stop All button and right-click to activate the Go button. It's useful to be able to Stop All if a cue is playing far too loud.

HI Mike
Thanks for your solutions they work great, I have a remote mouse which also has page up & down buttons so am also able to map into Master volumes as well. Brilliant this programme just becomes better and better. Wish I had discovered you earlier.
