Hello. I've been using SCS for a number of years and am very impressed with the system. It has got me through a number of shows and allowed us to do things never before possible.
I've run into a bit of a snag with my current show. I'm using some rental equipment for lighting (Yorkville LP608) and would like to be able to control it using the MIDI send cues. I have successfully used SCS10 and an m-audio UNO usb MIDI controller to change scenes on the lighting board by using the program change command. However, in order to change the rate of the transition, I need to issue a pitch change command. As far as I can tell, this isn't part of the standard instruction set in SCS10.
Does anyone know of a workaround for this? Is there a way to issue custom MIDI commands?
In case anyone is interested, the manual for the LP608 can be found here: http://www.yorkville.com/products.asp?t ... t=21&id=76
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Re: MIDI Pitch Control
Pitch change and a few other MIDI message types have not been included in SCS 10, but I could add these in a later release.
Meanwhile I suggest you use MIDI-OX (www.midiox.com) to convert selected control change messages to pitch change messages. I've used MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke extensively for testing MIDI Input and monitoring MIDI Output, but I haven't used them for re-mapping messages sent to an external device. However, I think the following will work.

To use MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke:
- Install MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke
- In SCS select a MIDI Yoke output for your MIDI Out port
- In MIDI Send cues use a Control Change message type for your control rate changes, using the same channel and control # for all such changes, and setting the required rate in the value field
- Setup MIDI-OX to convert these Control Change messages to Pitch Change messages, and send the MIDI-OX output to the LP608. (All other messages should be passed thru unchanged.)

Re: MIDI Pitch Control
Thanks for the help! I downloaded the MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke and it's working great. It will also come in handy for doing other MIDI work.
Cheers!
