Mike (or anyone) - I'm getting: Error 62 Input past end of file - SCS V9.2.3 - ProcName = loadCueFile - CueFile = C:\ ...etc (the path of the .scs file) when attempting to open a show which was created and ran perfectly under 9.1. This may be something simple but I can send further detail if necessary.

I have had this error myself this week a couple of times. To my utter dismay I have then found that the sound cue file has a size of 0 kB and is completely empty - SCS has wiped the file!.
You may want to check the properties of the file and try opening it in Notepad to see if this has happened.
Luckily for me I have developed a form of obsessive compulsive disorder which means I create a back-up after almost every change, so I didn't lose all my work.
Let me know if this simililar to your problem. If it isn't I'll start a new thread.

What Matt describes is precisely what happened to my scs file. It was only when I was making a copy of it to send to Mike that I saw that it was 0kb long. I sent it anyway and Mike has responded (swiftly as always) to say that he had not come across this before but will investigate further.
In a way it's reassuring to know that I'm not alone but it does mean that this is clearly not a freak one-off nor is it likely to be a fault in my PC.
Fortunately, we have finished the show for which my cue file had been created and when the problem happened I was only using it for checking out 9.2.3 which I had just installed. Perhaps we should all follow Matt's example and keep regular and frequent backups.

This might be taxing your memory a bit, but could you both check the timestamp on your zero-length .scs file (if you still have it) and tell me if you can recall anything significant about that time. For example, did you even have the Editor open when this clearing of the file seems to have occurred?

Hi Mike,
I can't recall exactly what happened but I'm pretty sure I did have the editor open then SCS shut down unexpectedly. I had been having a few other problems with other dialog messages popping up before this fatal error but it was possible to continue after these. Sorry I can't recall more details.
I think it may well have happened shortly after dragging a cue up or down the cue list to change its position. I can't be certain about that, though.
If it happens again I shall document as much as I can on the spot.

Mike - I've tried everything short of hypnosis to recall what I was doing but I can't recall exactly what happened either. At the time I was doing some unstructured browsing and tinkering with what was by then a redundant file created under 9.1 but now running under 9.2.3. I'm pretty certain that I had not been doing any drag-and-drop operations though.
To the best of my recollection, SCS closed normally and it was only when I tried to re-open a few minutes later that I got the error.
Sorry not to be any help here but like Matt I'll write down anything odd that happens in the future and let you know.
Can anyone else help shed light on this?
