I am programming a show for a local Community Theater using the X32 Edit Software and SCS. I have the X32 Edit at home and would like to test all of the Control Sends using the X32 Edit so I can visually see that everything is programmed correctly. This way I can go into tech week ahead of the curve by importing my show to the X32 when I get to the theatre. Is there a way to device map to the X32 Edit software on a computer that has SCS also running on it without actually having an X32 connected?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Testing Show Cue System Control Send using X32 Edit
Nice idea but I don't think X32 Edit will support that - unless someone can advise otherwise. When I start X32 Edit without the X32 connected, X32 Edit just sits there displaying 'searching device'.
When SCS establishes a Control Send Network connection with the X32 it connects as a 'Network Client', so the X32 itself is a 'Network Server'. I presume X32 Edit also connects as a 'Network Client'. If you do find a way to do this then I'll be very interested to know.
btw, in SCS 11.6.0 there will be more X32 commands available via Control Send cues. SCS 11.5 supports Go Cue, Go Scene, Go Snippet, Mute/Unmute Channel and Mute/Unmute 'Mute Group'. SCS 11.6.0 adds Mute/Unmute Aux Input, FX Return, Bus, Matrix Output, DCA Group, and Main (LR & M/C). I'm expecting to release 11.6.0 sometime next week.

Actually, if you have been following the Behringer X32 forums, a guy by the name of Patrick-Giles Maillot has written a X32 emulator program for use in developing software for the X32. It acts like the brain and can pass commands between edit and whatever other software you wish to use. His site is https://sites.google.com/site/patrickmaillot/x32 and your looking for X32 Emulator.

Thank You russhart for replying. I tried out the X32_emulator program as you recommended. One issue I have run into is, it appears this software doesn't save any Cues, Scene or Snippets to memory. I imported a show to the emulator and it appeared to pass and log the data however when i attempted to recall scenes and snippets all values were blank and it appears it didn't save any of the data. When I pass Mute and Unmute commands everything passes correctly to the X32 Edit program, Scenes and Snippets and Cues appear not to. Do either of you know if this is how the emulator is designed just to pass data and not save any settings?
Thanks for your assistance, I am new to this and still have a lot of learning to do.

That is the correct behavior for the emulator. It is only designed to pass data between programs. You need to save your scenes, snippets and cues in X-32 Edit as you would on a real desk. You should then be able to recall them using SCS. I don't know when the last update to the emulator has been done, or if it even has the code included for the scenes etc. That is something you will need to ask the developer of the emulator. I also personally have not used the emulator for anything other then for creating a small program with faders and mutes.
