No picture on video cue

I'm doing a corporate how and using SCS to playback video rolls. When I programmed the show and tested it it all worked fine but during the show all I got was sound from the cue until I deleted the videos and re added them to the cue. Not a fun thing to do in a dark ballroom with people waiting for the video to play.

That's odd, especially of just re-adding the videos made them play OK. Could you email me a diagnostic file? You can create this file by selecting 'Create Diagnostic File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Diagnostics" under "Documents" or "My Documents".

Had you run through some cues before the show and then just repositioned the cue list at the top of the show? It's obviously good to run through some cues before the show, but I suggest you then close and restart SCS so the show itself runs from a clean start.

Well it happened again today. This time videos would play fine until I set in and out times then would have no picture during playback. I tried transcoding the videos first to .mp4 h.264 and same issue then I tried mp4 MPEG-4 encoding and it seems to work OK. It's annoying as I often don't have time to transcode videos before they need to play.

I'll try to get a diagnostic file bu in fortunately I need to get things working so fast I often don't have time to save it.

I've emailed you details of a tracing version to run. When using a tracing version, if the problem does occur again there will be a log file available which you can email to me 'at your leisure', and you do not have to spend time creating a diagnostic file when the issue occurs. Log filenames are time-stamped, so the log file will be available anyway and will not be overwritten by the next run of SCS.
