Hi. I'm stuck on version 10 for technical reasons (as of 9/1/2013, v11 did not work with my setup) and having some headaches with video. Currently running 10.8.7, but will try 10.9.7 tonight. I'm not having any issues with still images, but when I'm trying to play wmv files, they play just fine in preview on the SCS main window, but will not play on the second monitor either in preview or performance mode. Both screens are 1024x768. Both screens are attached via VGA and I'm running XP Home (not by choice). Any suggestions on what I can try to tweak?
The issue blocking v11 was that MSC sends to the ETC Express console I'm using were not reliable and had to be repeated 2-3 times before the console would react, but the same cue file exported to SCS 10 worked first time, every time. I'm using SCS to control all pre-programmed playback due to a shortage of people to operate the equipment, so MSC control issues is a blocker on upgrading.

This can usually be resolved by changing the video renderer, but in SCS 10 there's no option to change the renderer. Which video playback library are you using (see Permanent Options / General)? I suggest you set this to xVideo - and also do use SCS 10.9.7. If you still cannot get the video image displayed then I can supply a version with the video renderer changed to 'VMR7 Windowed', which usually fixes this problem.Bob Healey wrote:Hi. I'd like to sort out this issue, Bob. When's your show run?Bob Healey wrote:The issue blocking v11 was that MSC sends to the ETC Express console I'm using were not reliable and had to be repeated 2-3 times before the console would react, but the same cue file exported to SCS 10 worked first time, every time. 10.9.7 couldn't cope with the files, but on a whim I tried 11.2.5. It was able to open the files, and MSC worked for me. Not sure if there might have been a different in the consoles (I play tech at 3 community theaters with SCS licenses and different gear). I won't have access to the auditorium where MSC didn't work until April.
