Hey, great work on the product btw.
We're trying to integrate DMXIS from ENTTEC with ShowCue and it appears that the easiest way to do this would be to utilize VST plugins.
The easiest (at least from an end user profile) would be to simply integrate VST plugins into the master output of the program, this way people could use other type of processing as well on the output and DMXIS would be supported as a VST.
Just a thought, I know that it currently supports DMX through the USB Pro but DMXIS is so much easier to program as it has all of the lighting libraries already built in.
Is there any better documentation on the current DMX functionality? I'd like to get more info before I go out and buy another ENTTEC interface.
Thanks again,

Re: DMX as a VST plugin
I do have plans for adding DMX send - either via Enttec's DMX USB Pro or DMXEtherGate. I hadn't previously considered the DMXIS plugin and couldn't find out much about it from their web site. I emailed them yesterday for more info but haven't received a reply yet.

Thanks! If you get a chance, download DMXIS software as you can run it in demo mode without the interface it is very cool. The plugin is supposed to just send the requests to DMXIS. This way you don't have to re-invent the wheel as the DMXIS software is already very deep in terms of it's functionality.
Keep up the great work!

Re: DMX as a VST plugin
As a follow-up to this I've had some success just sending MIDI commands to DMXIS through ShowCue. One of the biggest issues was that both pieces of software are on the same machine and getting them to communicate. I found a piece of software called LoopBe1 that is an internal MIDI connector. I can now send MIDI between ShowCue and DMXIS and cue the presets in DMXIS without adding another MIDI interface to the mix.
I record a MIDI file in Cubase and then add it as a subcue to the song. Works like a charm. Now I just need to program all of the lighting cues.
