Mixer Cues

Post by jasonknowles » Mon Mar 21, 2011 2:37 am

Much of my job when running a show involves switching on mic channels on the mixer. I would love for SCS to have a mixer cue facility.

My design of choice would be display that would show mixer channels to switch on/kill in maybe green and red, and the status of channels to be left unchanged in say black.

e.g.

[1][2][3][4][5][6] etc...
[X][x][O][O][o][o]

(in my example i've indicated new changes in upper case and no changes in lower case)

I know that the note cue is usable, but if during a show mic 3 stopped working and needed swapping with mic 5 on the fly... it would be cool if this could quickly be edited on the mixer cue list and the change ripple through automatically.

Am i making any sense?

Jason

Palladium is Windows software that is specifically designed for this type of application and it is currently partially integrated with SCS but when SCS supports live audio routing using SoundMan-Server, it will eventually become fully integrated. Hopefully this will happen soon.

What kind of mixer do You have? The M7CL here is perfectly controlled via MIDI Ctrl Messages and MIDI SysEx, which can be easily captured in the editor.
