Ordering of cue numbers

Post by Carleton50 » Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:49 am

Please excuse a newbie request - I don't know if what I'm asking is a feature or someone just needs to point me towards the proper area of the docs.

Does the cue number/cue label have anything to do with putting cues into a specific order?

I realize you can drag cues where they need to be in the list.

In other software I've used to program shows, you can change the order of the cues by changing the cue # - for instance, in this sequence:
100, 110, 120 to place a cue after 100 but before 110 you would just create a cue with the number 105 and it would be placed where you expect it.

I note that the cue number/cue label in SCS will take alpha-numeric labels. Might make it tricky to decode how the cues should be ordered.

Anyway, if this is a feature already, then please point me to the docs for it; otherwise, consider this a feature request.

Thanks you,

Carl Underwood

No.

Seems a good idea to me, at least as an optional feature (so as not to wreck any existing cue files  ).

I also assume that sub-cues could be handled the same way but that the primary cue containing sub-cues would drag all the sub-cues with it.

Yes, I think an optional feature check mark would be the best way too - perhaps it could be checked per show instead of a global setting. That way when you loaded in older shows, there would be no surprises!

Thanks very much,

Carl
