The following assumes you have a MIDI In port available on your computer that you can connect your MIDI keyboard to.
  1. In SCS go to General Options / Permanent Options / MIDI Devices & Control
  2. Under MIDI Devices select your In port; select Enable MIDI Control of Cues; under Control Method select Note On; and then select the MIDI Channel that you are using on your MIDI keyboard.
  3. You can test your MIDI control by clicking the Test MIDI Input button. Click the MIDI Test window's OK button when you have finished testing.
  4. Close the Permanent Options window by clicking the OK button. This will save your MIDI settings.
  5. Open the Editor and select one of the hot key cues.
  6. In the Cue Properties you will now see a field labelled MIDI Cue. Enter a number here in the range 1-127. This is to correspond to the 'Note Number' sent with a Note On MIDI message from your MIDI keyboard.
  7. Save your changes and close the Editor.
  8. Now when you press a key on your MIDI keyboard, if an SCS cue has the associated MIDI Cue Number then that cue will play. If it doesn't, go back to the Options and use the MIDI Test window to check the Note number received.
