Time based sub cues.

Post by peterrice » Tue Sep 04, 2007 5:42 am

I'm still getting my head round V9 so please excuse if this is a stupid question.

Is it possbile to make a sub cue auto start with a time after the main cue?

I created a cue, SQ9, a Shreader starting up. Then I want the next element, the paper being shreaded, in a sub cue. But I want the paper being shreaded .wav to trigger 2 sec after the shreader starting up sound. I can't seem to time the sub cue to SQ9, only earlier cues. So I have to make the paper being shreaded as SQ10 and then auto time that to SQ9 instead, which I don't really want to do as it's all part of the same effect.

Regards,

Pete.

Instead of looking at the Cue Properties for the start time, check out the Sub Cue Properties. At the top right of the lower screen, just above the audio file details, you'll find a box labeled Sub-Cue Relative Start Time. This is where you enter 2.00 (or whatever) for the delay, relative to the main cue's trigger point.
