As an alternative, or in addition to, the 'Save As' button, a 'Save Version' button would also be handy, to automatically increment the version suffix on the filename for you so you don't have to update it manually.
Use a 3-digit zero-padded number to allow up to 999 versions before repeating filenames.
Or, the options screen could provide a few choices for version format masks.
Thanks. John

I thought the "File/SaveAs" dropdown menu would suffice here, but it does not. Two things:
1) The File/SaveAs does not seem to remember the directory you last saved to. So every time I re-enter the editor and want to save a version of the program, I have to walk through the directory structure in the File Save dialogue box to find the SCS program directory. This is a pain.
2) I version frequently, especially when under pressure to make last-minute changes before a show. In this case it would be much better to have a "Save Version" button right next to the "Save" button that I could just hit as often as I want.
So far after two productsion I have been running 15-20 versions of the SCS program per production, most of the versions being created at the last minute ...!
Thanks. John
