WMA surround sound file crashes SCS

Post by J » Wed Nov 29, 2006 9:17 am

I exported a 5.1 channel WMA file from Adobe Audition 2.0. Then, when I tried to import the WMA into SCS, it crashes Sound Cue. The message reads "Sound Cue System has encountered a problem and needs to close..."

Does SCS support WMA surround sound, or is the crash because of our setup?

We're using a Sound Blaster 24 bit Live! card with the ASIO4all driver. SCS 9.2.8a.

-EDIT-
I should mention that we are using the Demo...maybe that is the problem...

How large is the WMA file? If it's less than 5Mb could you email it to me, or if it is larger than that can you put in on a server where I can download it?

It turns out that the 24 bit files were causing SCS to crash. 16 bit worked fine. I'm not sure why.

-EDIT-

24 bit files successfully import now. I think it works because we changed the Audio driver options in SCS (suggested in this thread http://www.soundcuesystem.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=586)
