Hi,
I accidentally clicked the Registration item on the File menu while playing about with 9.2.6 tonight. I then realised I couldn't get out of the registration screen without inputting a valid registration code or terminating scs9.exe because the cancel button was grayed out.
Now I've just gone back to see if inputting an invalid code works and hey - the cancel button is back again.
I suspect there's a minor bug in the code whereby the first time a user runs scs9 and inputs their code, if they then go back to the registration screen in the same session (ie without closing SCS and re-opening it again) they cannot get out of the registration screen (unless they have their code to hand). Once you have closed SCS and re-opened it, the cancel button works fine.
Just thought I'd let you know,
Peter
Cancel registration screen (fix in 10.1.0)

Hello,

This issue still exists in SCS 9.5.3 - it is a bit of a nuissance. Couldn't you "simulate" the effect of closing and reopening SCS after entering the registration key first?howartp wrote:Hi,

Re: Cancel registration screen
I wonder if Mike ever saw this post when I first put it up - he obviously hasn't done anything about it, probably through not seeing this.
He is pretty good at responding to posts with 'oh yes, sorry about that' or 'that's an idea, but....'.

Re: Cancel registration screen
Must have slipped thru the cracks - I don't remember seeing the post. I'll fix this in SCS 10 by ensuring the Cancel button is always enabled.howartp wrote:I wonder if Mike ever saw this post when I first put it up...
Re: Cancel registration screen
Thanks Mike.
I thought that must be the case...
