Audio graph in the editor window

Post by Falko Heidemann » Sat Feb 08, 2020 6:32 am

Hello Mike,

it would be great if the waveform display in the editor could be enlarged.
This would increase the work with the level,Pan and cue Points.

It would also be nice if these points could be created by small icons.

Kind regards, Falko

Falko, could you explain where these icons would exist and how they would be used? Currently you can add fade and level points using a right-click menu item.

Hello Mike,
I find the possibility via the context menu too uncomfortable.

Here is a picture that shows what I mean.
Of course, the icons can also be below the waveform.
Where the other operating elements are also located.

I’ll join in with this one.

Maybe simple edits like the start/end trim and fade-ins are done on the current waveform, but provide a button to open the waveform into a bigger separate window dedicated to advanced waveform ‘edits’.

I’d also prefer separating pan and vol onto different waveforms in some way; I can never remember the shift/control/alt keyboard commands to edit the current waveform.

I agree that a separate window for advanced wave editing is needed in SCS! With convenient scaling and navigation. You can discuss the functionality of the editor, or you can see how it is implemented in popular editors and sequencers. If necessary, I could take an active part in this, because.
I work quite a lot both in editors and in sequencers. And I see a lot that is done conveniently or not conveniently.
Sincerely, Pavel.
