Arguments for Call Cues

Post by genel » Tue Nov 19, 2019 9:51 am

I have about 50 callable cues I use to control our QU-32 sound board. Most of these are mutes but I've begun to add some fader settings, for mics. It would be really nice if instead of a number in the MIDI control panel one could put in say $1 for the first argument in the call from cue. This way I could replace my ever growing list of MIDI control cues with say a single MUTE ON, or a single FADER MOVE TO callable cue.

This enhancement is planned. It will not be in 11.8.2 but should be in 11.8.3 early next year. I had a similar issue with a recent show where I was using a Qu-16 and had many SCS cues to mute and unmute mics.

I would also like to have something similar applied to Lighting Cues.
If possible when a cue is defined as a Callable Cue I would like the two Fade Time options removed.
The Fade Time options would be added to the Call Cue cue.
This would save having to create multiple Callable Cues with identical lists of fixtures but different Fade Times.

I agree this would be useful, but the implementation could be slightly different to what you suggest. The Fade Time options would not need to be removed for a callable cue as you could set them to 'Use this fade time' (or 'Use this fade out time') and then enter $1 or $2 etc in the time field.

Mike, are you suggesting the best of both worlds? The fade times could either be set to unique values or $1 $2 to accept parameters from the 'Call Cue' cue? That sounds great.
