Audio, but No Video

Post by Dave Jenkins » Sun Dec 08, 2019 5:12 am

I'm afraid this is probably a newbie problem, so apologize in advance. Nevertheless, it did cause us some grief this morning:

I have a one-cue (video) show defined. On my new 64-bit Windows laptop, when I ran that cue, I got audio out, but no video (from an HDMI attached device connected through the laptop's USB-C display port). I ran a previous SCS show with many cues (including many videos) and it ran just fine. I started/restarted SCS - all to no avail. When running the one-cue show, it obviously knew it had a second display device (defined in Windows as Device 2, and as an extension of Device 1). That device (a projector) would go blank as soon as SCS loaded.

However, at some point, something obviously changed, because all of a sudden, I started getting both audio and video out.

So my question is: Is there some setting/option that governs dual display devices that I perhaps did not have set right, but in my thrashing around stumbled unknowingly into getting correct? Any advice pertaining to device/Windows/SCS setup that may help avoid this in the future?

Can you email me the log file from the run in which the video didn't display?
