SCS controlling lighting console

Post by dalx » Fri Aug 09, 2019 1:20 pm

I am currently controlling a LSC Maxim lighting console from SCS using MIDI commands, which works fine.
I am planning to upgrade the lighting console and am looking at a FLX S48 which can be networked using Art-net and sCAN protocols only.
From reading the SCS documentation I understand that these are not supported by SCS.
Am I correct in this assumption or am I missing something, or is there away to get around the issue?
There are consoles available that SCS will control so I may have to look at them, it's just that I really like the FLX.
Any advice is appreciated.

Art-Net support is planned - I'm hoping to include it in 11.8.2. I've purchased an Enttec ODE MK2 which I'll be using to test this functionality. I'm not sure when this feature will be available.

Thanks for your reply Mike and for your diligence in keeping this excellent product current.

I am not quite at the stage of purchase of the console and will wait for any progress with Art-Net in a future version.

regards
Geoff.
