I need urgent help -- I hope somebody can reply soon.
I have a show in a couple of hours, and SCS suddenly developed an issue -- all audio is playing just a tiny bit slower than normal. I have hundreds of very precisely timed lighting cues (Telnet commands from SCS), and now that audio is playing back slower, all the lighting cues are triggering too early. As each 5 minute track plays, the lighting cues are getting more and more out of sync with audio. The only way I can describe this issue is that audio is playing at a slightly slower speed than normal.
We ran this show yesterday, with no issues. Nothing changed in the setup.
Running v11.3.8
I am using Echo Layla 24/96 audio hardware. Outputting 4 audio channels.
In the Audio Output Devices, the "Audio Driver" is set to "ASIO (using BASS)" since that's the only way to get 4 channels out of Echo Layla.
The Echo Layla control panel is reporting "44.1 kHz" sample rate. (This is a read-only field.)
Is there some method to force SCS to output 48 kHz?
I am not even sure if 44.1 kHz vs 48 kHz is the real issue, because the audio is only a tiny bit slower. I think difference between 44.1 and 48 would sound a lot bigger... but I could be wrong...
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thank you!

Re: URGENT: SCS issue with playback speed / sample rate
Was there any resolution to this issue.
We have been having similar problems where audio cues play about 10% slower. THe only way we have found to stop this happening is to reboot the PC, but even then it doesn't always work - sometimes several reboots are required before the problem goes away. We have upgraded SCS to the latest version but still sometimes get this problem.
Our digital sound system is a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20. I suspect it is an issue with the PC - swapping to another PC seems to have fixed the problem.
However, has anyone else seen this issue or got any suggestions what the cause might be.
Thanks,
Oliver

Re: URGENT: SCS issue with playback speed / sample rate
A log file will have been created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents" and the name of the file includes a time-stamp indicating when the log started. Please email me the log file from a run in which audio cues played slow. Did all audio cues play slow or just some of them? If just some of them then let me know which cues played slow. Email the log file to support@showcuesystems.com.
