Losing Cue Control on reopening a cue file

Post by Julien Agthe » Mon Dec 10, 2018 4:27 am

Hi Mike,
I use SCS Platinum (Version: 11.7.1.3 (x64) Build 2018/08/20 12:33) for a short time and I've to say that I'm delighted! It's incredible all possibilities that are offered to me for the creation of my shows.

BUT...
I've got a problem when I open a previously created cue file : Network Cue Control doesn't work anymore !
I use X32 Digital Mixer, network connected, to send OSC messages and to control SCS. When I create the file, all work : Control Send and Cue Control. But after saving the file and closing SCS, when I open the file again, the OSC messages work but not the cue control. When I want to use X32 control, I have warning messages saying the command is unknown. These warning messages appear for all X32 controls even if they are not used in cue file (when I moved a X32 fader, for example). You'll find screenshots of these warning messages below.

The only solution I have found is :
  • to remove Network Cue Control device from the device map
  • to save the Cue file without Cue control device
  • to close SCS software
  • to reopen SCS software and Cue file
  • to create again Network Cue control device
  • and then it works !...
I have tried this operation on 2 different PCs and 2 different X32 mixer. The problem is always the same.

Please, could you help me (or help us if I'm not the only one to have this problem !...) ?

Thanks a lot in advance !!

Julien

I'm not sure about the 'losing control' issue, but SCS 11.8.0 rc2 (uploaded today) should fix the 'unknown command' messages. If you still have problems with losing control then please send me logs 'before' and 'after' the event, ie for a run in which network cue control was working, and then the log from the next run that appears to have lost the network cue control.
