maybe it is helpfull to look at other software. I work with Ableton Live, qLab, MadMapper, Onyx and Steinberg Nuendo and Wavelab on a daily basis. I like the dark look they have.
Ableton Live: Simple and informative mixer view. I like the edges.
qLab: I like the idea that there is no seperate editor window. All happens within the main window (Edit and Show mode). I don´t like the round faders, round buttons and round level meters. too playfull. Dark colour is nice and rich of contrast. I like the notes window at the top for information when the cue has to be started or something else. I nearly never use the GO, NEXT, PAUSE,.... buttons with the mouse... yeah because of reasons and mostly there is a hotkey. but surely nice to have feature when there are touchscreens.
Onyx: This is a Lighting Software i use. I would never stop using, but i wanted to show the simple and clear appearance that i like very much. touch friendly aswell.
