Licensing Issue, Bug, or Pilot Error
Licensing Issue, Bug, or Pilot Error
I am not sure if this is just a wrong license issue, or this is a bug, or this is something I can’t figure out. I am helping a small theatre convert their lights to SCS using the ENTTEC DMX USB PRO MK2. They only have a single fixture type, generic, one channel, dimmer which is FT1. They have the SCS Professional License. The problem is I can only seem to have a maximum of two “Devices Required in Cues”. That is LT1 and LT2. The plus is greyed out so I cannot add LT3 etc. Is this a bug or did I miss something in the limitations of the Professional license? I don’t want to upgrade the software if I do not need to do so. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Licensing Issue, Bug, or Pilot Error
I presume you have LT1 set up to access the ENTTEC DMX USB PRO MK2 with DMX Port DMX1. All of the lighting fixtures you need to control that are connected via DMX to this device and port should be defined in the lower part of the Lighting - DMX Devices and Fixtures Production Properties. Your individual Lighting Cues can then control whatever fixtures you need to for each cue.
If you are also using the second DMX port on your PRO MK2 then that would require you to set up a second 'Lighting Device' against LT2, and the fixtures connected via DMX to DMX Port DMX2.

Thank you. Now I understand. For some reason I thought the LT<n> were ways to group light fixtures together. I am new to controlling lighting and did not grasp the concept.
