Import Audio Files
This feature enables you to import multiple audio files to create multiple Audio File cues or a single Playlist cue.
Note: This feature will create a cue or cues after the currently selected cue in the Editor's cue list. So before importing audio files, select the cue after which you want the new cue or cues to be created. If they are to be created at the start then select the production node (the first entry) in the Editor's cue list. |
SCS will display the normal Audio File Selector dialog (see Audio File Selector). You may select multiple files by holding down Ctrl (Control) while selecting the files.
When you click the Open button in the Audio File Selector, if you have selected just one audio file then SCS will create an Audio File Cue after the currently selected cue in the cue list, or at the start of the cue list if you have selected the production node. If you have selected more than one audio file the SCS will ask you if you want to create multiple Audio File Cues or a single Playlist Cue. On choosing the required option the cue or cues will be created after the currently selected cue in the cue list, or at the start of the cue list if you have selected the production node.
Please note that when you select more than one audio file, the order in which those audio files are assigned to Audio File cues or the Playlist cue cannot be guaranteed. This is unfortunate, but the underlying Microsoft funtion does not necessarily return the filenames in the order in which you selected them. You must therefore expect to have to re-order the cues or playlist files after the import. See Moving Cues ... for more information, particularly 'Move up' and 'Move down'. Also, the Re-Number Cues facility is a useful way to re-number your cues after you have re-ordered them as required.
It is recommended that you Save your changes or that you Create or Resync your Production Folder. Creating or resyncing a Production Folder will copy the audio files into your current Production Folder.
