Import Video or Image Files

This feature enables you to import multiple video and/or still image files to create multiple Video/Image cues.

Note: This feature will create a cue or cues after the currently selected cue in the Editor's cue list. So before importing video or image files, select the cue after which you want the new cue or cues to be created. If they are to be created at the start then select the production node (the first entry) in the Editor's cue list.

SCS will display the Windows File Selector dialog. You may select multiple files by holding down Ctrl (Control) while selecting the files.

When you click the Open button in the File Selector, SCS will create Video/Image Cues after the currently selected cue in the cue list, or at the start of the cue list if you have selected the production node. For Image cues, the Continuous Play, Play Length and Fade In Time properties will be set to the current defaults, ie to the corresponding setting of the last-added or last-accessed Image cue. If there are no defaults found, then the cues will be added with a Play Length of 5 seconds. If you prefer a different setting for the image cues you create, simply add one Image Cue and apply the required settings before you import multiple Image Files.

Please note that when you select more than one file, the order in which those files are assigned to Video/Image cues cannot be guaranteed. This is unfortunate, but the underlying Microsoft funtion does not necessarily return the filenames in the order in which you selected them. You must therefore expect to have to re-order the cues after the import. See Moving Cues ... for more information, particularly 'Move up' and 'Move down'. Also, the Re-Number Cues facility is a useful way to re-number your cues after you have re-ordered them as required.

It is recommended that you Save your changes or that you Create or Resync your Production Folder. Creating or resyncing a Production Folder will copy the audio files into your current Production Folder.
