I experimented a with SCS network controls from one SCS to another on a second PC. Works pretty well.
Now i wonder whether i could get some feedback from the remote SCS.
Bare minimum would be a feedback whether the control sent was executed successfully.
Then, I would love to get notified when the network connection is no longer there. This way you would know in advance that there is something you should fix, not only at the moment when you send out your control to the remote PC. You could keep aTCP connection open using keep-alive, or send some feeback on UDP messages.
Ultimately, it would be great to have general feedback of what is currently happening on the remote SCS, e.g. a monitor window showing which cue is currently running, etc.
Is that something that could become reality?
Best wishes,
Gregor
Network control feedback
Re: Network control feedback
There is a full remote API available, if you would like a copy please send an email to support@showcuesystem.com
The API was fully developed afterwards based on the Android remote control app, We would have to think carefully about how the feedback was implemented as the main screen is quite busy already.
Best regards, Dee.
