Hey Everyone,
I need a bit of help with the setup of my show. Just found SCS, out of a lot of programs i've tried none do what I need so i'm hoping I can get SCS to.
In essence my show is made up of video files. One Video per song where the starts and ends have the same logo.
Once the video has stopped playing I need the logo (last frame of the video) to hang until the cue button is hit. Immediately then the next video will start. It should be seamless and the audience should not notice a change between videos. I also have the logo in a jpeg image which could be used to hold.
At the moment there seems to be a slight flicker, maybe Im setting it up wrong? Whats the easiest way to achieve this do you think?
Any help be much appreciated.

Re: Help Needed With Video
I am getting the same slight flicker! Doesn't happen every time. It looks like it might be 1 frame of black before the next video plays.
Using TVG. Latest version of SCS.
Anybody else seeing this? Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you!

Re: Help Needed With Video
Some suggestions from old threads, which may not still be valid.
The way SCS works, starting another video replaces the running one, but there does tend to be a short black/blank frame between the two. I have found that this can be reduced by limiting the number of video files to pre-open (Options & Settings | General) to 2.
Mike's suggestions in this thread may still be relevant.

Re: Help Needed With Video
I've changed the number of video files to pre-open to 2. Unfortunately, this has not made any difference. I've tried both xVideo and TVG -- no difference. I think I like TVG better for other reasons, but I still can't get the video cue transitions to be seamless.
Could anybody suggest the right way to achieve this "hold" and "seamless transition to next video" functionality?
I've tried setting a video cue's Fade In time to 1 second -- this didn't help. Here is what happens: the current video CUTS to black, and the next video FADES UP from black. Obviously, that's not good.
My understanding was that since I am not actually STOPPING the previous video, the next video should fade in ON TOP of the previous video. (In other words, in a new video layer that's above the currently displayed video layer.) Is this not the case? How can I correctly ask SCS to fade in the next video ON TOP OF the currently holding video?
Thanks!

Stas, try making the logo a separate .jpg file and cue that up using a hot key. Set every video to a fade-in and fade out. After every video just hit the logo hot key.

Re: Help Needed With Video
Eric, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, this approach is not right for my show, because there is not one logo for the whole show. Instead, each video cue ends on a still frame. Each next video starts from that still frame. But this still frame is unique for each "transition" between adjacent video cues. Does that make sense?
There are way too many video cues to make a separate JPG for each transition. I really need each video to hold (indefinitely) on the last still frame and then seamlessly transition to the next video.
