Video Cue problem

I'm trying to set up video cues. I am importing AVI files into the editor as cues, but they don't play in the main screen. They don't show up on the monitor whereas still files do and play perfectly. Can anybody help?

Have a look at Trouble Shooting - Video Problems. If you still cannot get videos to play after following those suggestions, try setting up a video cue using one of the Windows-supplied demo videos, which are WMV files.
