shortly I run into problems with this audio card: noisy and distorted sound, start points within short files did not work, stuttering sound. Disabling internal mixer didn't help. Finally I found, that the "classical MME drivers" option was checked for some reason. Unchecking removed all problems, so if someone got problems with this card, too, please verify, that "classical MME drivers" is disabled. If not, You will find "emulated" devices in the audio output menue.
Hi there!

I'm trying to get SCS 10.7.6 to run via ASIO on a Marian Marc 8 Midi ... and even with the "classical MME drivers" disabled, I'm not having any success. Playback kinda works, but the playback cursor gets only updated about twice a second, and playback has periodical loud clicks in it ... which coincide with the screen updates in SCS. Something with the buffering is seriously screwing up, and none of the available parameters (like, using external or internal mixers, changing the various buffer sizes, pre-loading the entire file, and everything else mentioned in the documentation) changes anything ... the only way to make it work is not to use ASIO.

Which is kinda not an option for me, because I need sample-accurate multi-channel playback :(

Currently I'm working around this problem by using ASIO4ALL which is basically an Asio-to-WDM interface driver. But it ain't pretty, and I'm not sure how much extra latency this is giving me.

I'm open for any kinds of ideas on how to debug this :\

I don't have any experience of Marian devices, but the SCS recommendations you've referred to have resolved issues for most other device types. I recommend you try the SoundMan-Server option as I mentioned in my reply to your posting on Cut-Off fades / Audible Volume Steppings.
