Hi,
I'm running a show using SCS and an Edirol UA 101. Last night during the tech there were some problems with tracks stuttering.
As advised on here I've tried disabling the internal mixer. This is no problem for Channel 1-6 which are stereo pairs but I'm using channels 7 and 8 in mono and they no longer seem to work. When I play a cue using the mono channels nothing happens.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Phil

Re: Problem with mono channels
What's probably happening is that you are trying to play stereo files to these mono outputs. When you use the SCS internal mixer, the mixer downmixes stereo to mono if the output is mono, but without using the internal mixer this downmixing does not occur. So typically you would get an error reporting 'unavailable speaker'.
The solution is that for mono outputs, only play mono files. You can convert a stereo file to mono using a sound editor like Goldwave. In Goldwave, just open the stereo file, click Save As and choose a Mono format in the Attributes drop-down list.

Re: Problem with mono channels
Thank you Mike,
That sounds likely, will try converting those tracks to mono.
