Sorry if this is a question with an obvious answer but im a fairly new user so here goes
I have several screens to show video, an ETC element lighting desk and some sound effects.
with several screens I will need a few computers to run them each using SCS for the video
what is the best way to connect the computers so that we have one computer and operator to sending commands to the other computers with the video
for the lights the only option is MIDI is that also a good way to connect the other computers or can that be done though ethernet of wifi?

Re: connecting computers running SCS
MIDI is probably your best choice as you are already using MIDI. Telnet is also available if you have a Professional Plus license.
From your posting I guess you've already worked out how to run this, but basically you will need a separate cue file for each PC, containing the cues for that particular PC, and if you use MIDI then set up MIDI Cue Control on each of these PC's. Then on a master PC run a cue file containing Control Send cues to send the MIDI commands to the other PC's. This master PC could, of course, also handle your main cue functionality, eg your audio cues.

Thanks Mike
that was what I was thinking with separate cue files and using the master for sound effects but I just wanted to confirm that Midi was the right way to go.
