SCS 10.6.1 problem with fade cues.

Post by d_korman » Sun Oct 11, 2009 8:17 pm

Mike,

Have just upgraded from SCS9 to 10.6.1 and have a problem with fade cues. When I test the fade in the editor it fades smoothly as it should. When I use a fade out and stop cue in the normal way, the start of the fade is delayed slightly and then the level jumps instantly to where it should be had the fade started immediately. This sounds awful!

The same thing happens with both Windows and ASIO drivers. All the buffer setting etc are at the SCS defaults.

Thanks,

PS: can't search on "fade cue" in the forum as it says the terms are too common - so this may be addressed already but no way to find it.

Is it possible that when the fade is meant to be happening that SCS is opening another audio (or video) file?

Not really - there are only two other cues afterwards and all are showing loaded. Looking more carefully I can see that the fade does in fact start right on cue but then stops for a fraction of a second before continuing at the lover level.

OS is Win 2000 SP4, BTW and the audio device is an M-Audio Delta-DIO
