I do a lot of my programming on a laptop on the kichen table, warmer than the theatre in winter! Thus there is no output to the relays operating the speakers, via Com 1. I get a notice saying that control send cues cannot be sent as the computer cannot open this port. SCS apparently offers a way round this, via the 'don't tell me again' box, but ticking this makes no difference, and I still have to click the box every time I save.
Is there a way round this?

Re: 'don't tell me this again' box doesn't work
Which version of SCS are you using? When I try to reproduce this condition I don't get a message with a 'don't tell me this again' checkbox but a message asking me if I want to select Com1 for RS232 Output. If I click the 'Yes' button everything continues OK. If I activate the Control Send cue I correctly get "Failed to send #1 (Port not open)", but that's just on the status line at the bottom of the screen and doesn't require any action.
If you're using 10.8.5 could you email or post a screenshot of the error you are getting?
