Video: Forcing Fullscreen (mod in 10.8.1)

I am trying to use xVideo for video fades. Is there a way to force images &/or videos to be stretched to fullscreen?

I could implement this but it would mean that videos and images may display with the wrong aspect ratio, because they will display with the aspect ratio of the screen, not the aspect ratio of the source file.
