Midi files

Post by derick » Sat Nov 14, 2009 11:18 pm

Situation:
I record midi files from my Behringer LC2412 (DMX controller) and want to play back them as a command cue.

Is this possible? and how do i do that?
I can't import midifiles in the midi cue option.

Thanks,

Yes, this is possible. You need to create an Audio File cue and therefore treat the MIDI file as an audio file, even though in your case it would not contain 'audio' per se. In the Production Properties, click on the 'MIDI Play Devices' tab and assign the required 'MIDI Playback Device' to the 'MIDI' device name (or set up another device if preferred).
