Problems loading v10

Hi Mike

Firstly, congratulations and thanks for adding RS232 control, (and video) I can now AV mute and un-mute my projector from SCS. That just leaves me with having to work on the telephone control I mentioned a year back. (RS232 relay board required)

Now for the problem.
I am unable to open SCS 10 (10.2 and 10.1.3) on my home PC, all working fine on theatre machine.

For version 10, the splash screen opens and says initializing.... then in the task bar I get a second SCS task, but with the label of AutoCAD2007 (which I also have installed)

SCS then hangs in this position until I kill either SCS or AutoCAD tasks. Perhaps a registry problem, or your splash screen calling the main program?

I have not tried uninstalling AutoCAD (yet!) to see if this cures the problem.

Andy

Hi Mike

I took the plunge and removed AutoCAD, which has given me access to SCS for the time being, however I would like to be able to use both programs....

Thanks in anticipation
Andy

This is one of life's mysteries. A similar problem was reported in this forum posting, and that was with SCS 9. AFAIK there's no reason why SCS and AutoCAD cannot co-exist, but I've no knowledge of what DLL's etc are used by AutoCAD. You may find that re-installing AutoCAD will fix the error.
