How to suppress black flash between images

I have a sequence of images that I want to show in fairly quick succession (showing each for about half a second)

When I play them back, I get a black screen for a fraction of a second between the pictures.
Is there any way of stopping this from happening?
I tried cross-fading them, but that doesn't give the effect I want, and I still bet a black screen between them.

If it's not possible, I'll have to try making them into a video, but that seems like overkill for a handful of still images.

Phil,

Could you email me a diagnostic file? You can create this file by selecting 'Create Diagnostic File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Diagnostics" under "Documents" or "My Documents".

Hi Phil Rogers,

I added a slide show cue in a production with 30 images with a "Display time" of 0:00.50 and played it.
I captured the show with a screen capture software and viewed frame by frame. In my computer, there is no black frames between images.

I remember this effect in old releases of SCS but it was fixed in 2014.

Do you see the black frames with video projector?
Have you the same effect with a computer display (not a TV)?
