X32 vs M32

The small community theater I work with is looking to replace its 24 channel analog Soundcraft board with a digital unit that integrates with SCS. I know Mike has done a super job of building in X32 integration into SCS. Even though we have used numerous Behringer components over the years they seem to struggle with quality control. That makes me a little nervous. So, I have been investigating the Midas M32. Now I know Behringer and Midas are owned by the same parent company, but reading reviews of the Midas unit, there are no mentions of wonky quality. I also like the physical design of the M32 better than the X32.
Sooo, the real question is..... since the m32's core is based on the x32 software can I assume that to use SCS with a M32, you simple set it up as if it were an X32 and use all of the same X32 commands?
Any comments would certainly be welcome as we need to replace this current board in the next couple weeks.
