Video not activating after pressing Go

Dear Mike,
I am running a show with 5 video cues running as separate cues but running consecutively. Each cue is an AVI file of about 2 minutes. This has run successfully throughout the rehearsals but last night for Dress rehearsal it failed to run after pressing the space bar. The video was tested with the projector prior to the performance and worked OK. I noticed that the progress cursor was moving indicating that it was running but nothing on the screen. Because it was a dress rehearsal (no audience) I moved the mouse cursor over the remote screen and it displayed the mouse arrow so this indicated that the remote screen was working. I eventually was able the get the cues to run but it stopped after the third cue. After the performance I repeatedly tested the cues with no problems.
I am using Windows 7, core I7 2.7 GHz, 4 GB Ram 64 Bit. I am running SCS 11.3.8. Video playback library xVideo, Video renderer VMR-9 Windowless.
Can you offer any suggestions? The director is very nervous.
Thanks
Rob
