Vieo Audio Devices - problem?

Hi,
The SCS laptop is connected to our X32 and I can set up all the audio outputs no problem.
However the video sound only comes out the laptop sound (headphone) port. In 'Video Audio Devices', the only option is 'Windows Default Sound Driver'.

I could just connect the laptop audio output to the mixer but is there no way of getting video sound out via any other drivers??

Thanks
Steve

The X32 control software is exactly that - control software. Connect your laptop to the X32 and power up both. Then check your laptop's sound settings and see if the X32 is listed as an option for audio devices. I doubt that it will be, which means you need to use the laptop's audio out jack for SCS.

Unless Mike has fixed it and I've missed it, it's an outstanding bug that ALL video sound is directed to the 'Windows Default Sound Driver'
The way around it is to redefine the 'Windows Default Sound Driver' to the output you want to use. You do this on the laptop, not in SCS.
But if the laptop can't see the X32 outputs then you are snookered!

Thanks both. Yes - laptop sees X32 drivers no problem. Hadn't thought of redirecting windows default sound - will try that.
