Hi there,,
I have been using SCS for about 5 years now with the same (old) machine. I have had great success with this program and have had no problems. My last few shows I have been having cues randomly pause for 2-3 seconds and then continue. This really sucks when doing a musical,,lol. Sometimes it's fixed with a closing the program and reopen, or sometimes I do a full reboot.
My MO for putting cues together hasn't changed, I am pretty careful not to mix file types, use clean files, stuff like that.
I have all the check boxes unchecked for max operation. I don't do any crazy routing, just simple playback.
My computer is getting old, but again, I haven't had any problems for 5 years until now. Off the top of my head the specs are,,,,
SCS 11.2.4 Win XP, 2g ram, AMD Athlon 2gig processor,, 512mb video card...Layla 20bit
Is the program getting too robust for a simple machine? I never felt the need to buy a new setup as long as it works.
Is there a dump file that can be looked at to see whats happening when it pauses?
Any Ideas? Thanks,,
Nanook

Could you email me a diagnostic dump file? You can create this file by starting SCS and selecting 'Create Diagnostic Dump File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Dumps" under "Documents" or "My Documents".
