Multiple midi play devices

Maybe I'm having a bad day and am forgetting something obvious . . .
I already have 2 midi playback devices set up in my SCS10 Professional production and am trying to add a 3rd. In the Production Properties midi playback screen there is space for 4 device definitions. When I try to add the 3rd the name enters OK but the drop down box for the selected device is empty. I have tried it with a new production and it behaves in just the same way. What is stopping me from defining a 3rd (or 4th) device??
All help gratefully appreciated.
cheers from Richard in sunny France!!

Hmm. You're right. Might be time to upgrade to SCS 11 - I see your update plan is still current.

Hi. yes I loaded SCS11 and gave it a go but I was getting breaks and skipping in my wav playback - checked as best I could the device settings which seemed to be as per SCS10 so having a gig or two lined up I decided to stick with 10. I'll give 11 another try but I am a bit nervous about audio problems - I use SCS to run backing tracks and light show for my band and a strange event in the audio is the last thing I need!!! I suppose there will be no more support fixes for V10???

With SCS 11 were you using ASIO? If so then you should find SCS 11.1.3RC2 (uploaded today) will cure the breaks etc. If you still have issues with 11.1.3RC2 then click on Help / Create Diagnostic Dump File and email me the .dmp file that gets created.

Sorry for the delay - gig last night. I am using the Direct Sound option - I use a virtual audio cable to drive the sound to light facility in Freestyler. If this is a problem I guess I can try ASIO4ALL but I have not had huge success with it in the past . . . Anyway let me know if direct sound could be the problem.
Thanks

Update : I switched to using BASS (ASIO) and then set up my two audio outputs - one using the ASIO driver for my audio interface (Presonus Lightpipe) and a second using ASIO4ALL to drive by Virtual Cable. I have each track set up to play to the two outputs - one drives the sound system, the other feeds the Sound to Light facility in Freestyler. Problem is then when I play a track the stl feed seems to be delayed maybe half a second - you can see this from the meter bars which are not synchronised - and then of course the lights are not synced to the music!! Am I doing something stupid?? Even if there was some sort of delay in the ASIO drivers or in the virtual cable I would have thought that SCS would drive both signals in sync and the meters would therefore be synced???
Thanks
R

Using two different ASIO devices (Presonus Lightpipe and ASIO4ALL) is unfortunately not going to give you good syncing. If all your required outputs are on a single ASIO device then your syncing will be correct. I'm not familiar with your setup, but can you somehow feed everything through the just one of these devices, preferably the Presonus?
