Auto maximize computer volume

I'm wondering if the option to automatically maximize the computer's volume when you open SCS is still available. It's been a while since I updated the version of SCS I was using but am now running the current version. If the option still exists, I'm having a hard time finding it.
Thanks!!

No, unfortunately this is no longer available. For users unaware of this obsolete 'feature', SCS used to have option sliders for the levels of the Windows Master Volume control and device volume controls. When you started SCS it would set the corresponding Windows controls to these saved settings. This was to avoid issues with someone (either you or someone else) changing the Master Volume between performances, thus affecting the overall level in your next performance. But this 'feature' relied on a system function that isn't supported under Vista or Windows 7, since Windows now keeps separate Master and Application Volume controls.

Ah... I see. That's a shame. It was a handy tool to have. Thanks for the quick response, Mike!
