Show Cue System

Hello, I'm pretty newbie with SCS. i have just arrived from SFX land.
What are you using as telnet client (Windows or linux)? I can make a successful connection with Puttytel but it was not very convenient. How do you make some nice hotkeys for "GO", "Stop" and "Prev&Next"?

Not sure what you mean, Mika. SCS is a Windows program and uses the Microsoft-supplied Winsock ActiveX Control for Telnet operations. You can configure SCS as either a Telnet Client or a Telnet Server.

Are you wanting to control SCS from an external device/software, or send Telnet commands to an external device/software? We'd like to trigger cues from a laptop from stage while the SCS machine (=server) would be located in the control booth. I was able to do this by using Puttytel when I typed those commands but there must be easier way to that. We have been using TightVNC for remote triggering too but the connection can be bit shaky sometimes.

What you could do is install SCS on both machines and use Control Send cues on the stage (SM?) computer to send Telnet commands to SCS on the booth computer. The stage computer should be set up as a Telnet Client if your booth computer is set up as a Telnet Server. Your Control Send cues could be hot key cues, so one hot key cue could send scsGo("0"), and another hot key cue could send scsStopAll.
